Tommy Gate Rail Gate Standard Series Liftgates are designed to fit many different sizes of van bodies. These liftgates give an operator the choice of many platform sizes and options that make heavy-duty loading and unloading easier.

FEATURES

1. The Main Frame Box contains the electrical and hydraulic systems:  (a) Full-size pump and motor unit, (b) a Pressure Relief Valve helps prevent overloading the platform, (c) Cylinder-mounted Flow Control Valves prevent rapid uncontrolled platform descent in the event of a hose failure
2. Secure drop-in style latches with Platform Latch Lock
3. Standard recessed lights
4. Recessed license plate holder
5. Extruded aluminum sliders are standard on all Rail Gate models.  The sliders feature polyethylene wear pads and operate smoothly with only lightweight oil.
6. The standard Safety Trip Bar, located below the Rail Gate’s enclosed hydraulic and electrical systems, will immediatey stop the upward movement of the platform if any object becomes trapped between the platform and the liftgate frame.

Additionally, Power Open & Close is standard on models of the Rail Gate Series.  The cam arm system powers the platform close.  Information on other features is in the Specifications section.

Models available are shown in the table below. There are 4 Treadplate Steel (TP) models with sizes and capacities as shown and 2 Aluminum/Steel model (Extruded Aluminum platform with steel frame).  Platform Travel for these liftgates is 32″ to 54″.  Gate width is 94″ with Clear Opening of 87″.  Vehicle fit is for Van with a body width of 96″
